In December, every donation counts twice

Today begins our annual Matching Challenge – a special opportunity to double the impact of your contribution. Until the end of December, every donation to Sentience has a double impact: every franc donated is doubled by generous donors – up to a total of CHF 50,000. CHF 10 becomes CHF 20, CHF 50 becomes CHF 100.

Together we can make a big difference for the animals – and right now we need your support more than ever. With the Matching Challenge, you have the opportunity to make twice as much of a difference: Throughout December, generous benefactors will match your donation. A successful Matching Challenge is also a strong sign that we can count on a community that is actively committed to the interests of non-human animals.

Why this year’s Matching Challenge is especially important

The year 2024 has been a busy and impactful one for us. Campaigns like “STOP preprogrammed suffering!” and “Invisible Animals” have advanced critical issues. However, we are facing financial challenges: current donations are insufficient to secure the necessary resources for the long term implementation of our projects.

This is particularly true for two major, high-profile projects we have been preparing for and plan to launch in 2025:

  • A new federal initiative to bring animal welfare back to the political forefront
  • An alliance of animal welfare, animal rights, agricultural, and environmental organisations working together for a future that is more respectful towards non-human animals

These initiatives have the potential to be milestones for improving animal welfare in Switzerland and can significantly enhance the lives of countless animals. However, their success depends on your support.

A donation with double the impact

The success of our projects depends on our community’s support — and that includes you. Your contributions not only sustain our current campaigns but also empower us to commit to next year’s groundbreaking projects fully. Every donation counts — and thanks to our generous donors, your gift will be doubled.

With your help, we can:

  • Raise societal awareness of animal suffering and increase the visibility of non-human animals.
  • Drive political change to reduce animal suffering sustainably.
Create long term solutions that improve animals’ lives.

A pivotal year for animals

After 10 years of Sentience, we have many significant achievements to celebrate. At the same time, the next 10 years hold enormous stakes. It is only with your support that we can continue our work and reach new milestones in animal protection. Help us raise the necessary funds to remain a strong voice for animals in the coming year.

Your donation makes it possible for us to keep fighting for a more animal-friendly Switzerland. Thank you!

Acknowledging the capacity for suffering as a crucial moral criterion is the core concern of Sentience. Therefore, we aim to give a voice to those animals whose well-being receives no attention in our society - the “invisible” animals.
