Ilka Stauvermann

While studying sustainable tourism development, Ilka developed an interest in various aspects of sustainability. She gained her first experience in animal welfare in Malta, where she worked for a shark conservation organization during her semester abroad. Since then, she has been particularly committed to advocating for animals that are often overlooked. An internship with WWF Switzerland, where she organized local nature conservation projects, brought her to Zurich. Ilka has been part of our campaign team since May 2026, where she continues her work for animals.

In her spare time, Ilka enjoys being out on the water: kayaking the rivers of the Alps, surfing, or simply swimming in the Limmat.
