Bettina Huber

Bettina is Co-Managing Director and Head of Philanthropic Partnerships.

Since 2023, she has been leading this area and has also served as Deputy Managing Director. Previously, she was a member of the Sentience board.

Bettina is an animal ethicist and studied philosophy at the Universities of Bern and Basel, where she completed her PhD on the topic of animal dignity. In 2022, her revised dissertation was published as a book entitled «Tierwürde – Leben in Übereinstimmung mit dem Selbstbild» (Animal Dignity – Living in Accordance with One’s Self-Image).

From 2021 to 2022, she was also a member of the cantonal committee on animal experimentation in Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft and Aargau. Bettina is active in various associations that promote greater animal welfare and the implementation of animal rights, this includes serving on the board of Animal Rights Switzerland.
