Thomas Pfluger

Thomas Pfluger studied biology and, in 1995, spent time in Taï, Côte d’Ivoire, studying wild chimpanzees as part of his dissertation with Prof. Christoph Boesch’s research group. Over the course of his career, he has complemented his scientific and medical training with perspectives from the humanities. Every now and then, he simply trusts his intuition. He works for an SME specialising in public health and health promotion. He shares his philosophy with Sentience: radical in its goals, practice-oriented and willing to compromise in its strategy. Sentience bases its commitment to animals on their capacity for sensation and suffering. This is also the central criterion for Thomas Pfluger. One of his key concerns is a fundamental improvement in the living conditions of animals in agriculture. From his professional career, Thomas Pfluger brings experience in various fields: strategy, communication, management of foundations and associations, marketing and fundraising. He is now making this experience available to Sentience and the cause of animal welfare.
