Melina Tan
Melina actively supports us as a volunteer in all aspects of fundraising and donor relations. She worked for a global asset management company for many years and has a wealth of marketing and sales experience. We are very grateful for Melina’s valuable contributions to our efforts to reduce animal suffering.
Melina’s first step for animals came at the age of 12, when she had a letter published in the London Evening Standard’s junior postbag protesting the cruelty of deer poaching. Melina and her mother later learned about factory farming, stopped eating animals, and have been involved in the animal rights movement ever since. Melina remains convinced that Sentience is an impactful voice for farmed animals following the Initiative vote. She enjoys gardening, cooking spicy food and spending time serving her cats.
