Laura Baumann

After studying law and qualifying as a lawyer, she initially worked in the courts. Cases involving animals had a particularly lasting impact on her and showed her the direction she wanted to take in her professional future.

Laura then worked as a legal assistant at the foundation Tier im Recht (Foundation for the Animal in the Law). Since January 2026, she has been working at Sentience to promote the interests of nonhuman animals.

In her free time, Laura enjoys spending time with her dog Yuri, reading, climbing, practicing yoga, and spending time with her loved ones.
